There are loads of things I say on here that I really shouldn’t, especially given that anyone can read it - and I don’t know half of you half as well as I should - but it’s nicer in some respects than writing in my diary because we are all fundamentally attention-seekers.
But I worry, sometimes. What if, in the incredibly unlikely event that I make good friends in the future, they read the archives for ‘interesting’ text posts? What if you’re one of those people? I have done similar things and so it doesn’t seem ludicrous, but wow, this would be a bit like seeing that someone has a whole load of cat skeletons in their attic
There are circles it’s hard to square. I’m saying this a lot, because it always seems to be true, because if you analyse your own means of thinking and mentality you will probably encounter worrying contradictions. (If not, wow, I really envy you!) For example: it is inadvisable and very insensitive and not at all okay to completely depend on another person, especially if you let them know, and especially if you’re an adult, but the idea is shrouded in such a huge veil of romance that it is difficult to remove all traces and vestiges from it. There is so much like this.
I think I watched too many films and romcoms and 80s movies at an impressionable age and it’s screwed up my psyche permanently and no amount of logic is going to convince me otherwise.
Song of, well, the week, is Bloodbuzz Ohio. That’s all your fault. But in a nice way.
There’s a disadvantage to pursuing a career in the mathematics or sciences rather than an arty one, because “I painted this for you” or “I wrote this song for you” are just way way better than “I solved this differential equation for you”. I mean, I said that to my physics teacher, but I don’t think he caught the romantic undertones. (There weren’t any, but even so.)
